Countries

In the book Let Our Voices Be Heard! women from different countries all over Europe tell their stories. The situation for lesbians in general and christian lesbians in particular are different from country to country.

For each country in the book there is a country report which gives background information about the situation for lesbians (and gays) within the society and the churches. Below are the original country reports from the first edition of the book (2004). In some countries the situation may have changed. We will update this information later.

To collect this information we developed a questionnaire (that can be found here) that was completed by groups and persons living in each of the coutries. We do not claim that the information is complete, but it is meant to give an insight into the conditions under which the different women live and wrote their stories.
